KARRAYILI
HOW WE HELP
Karrayili has traditionally been the hub for the communities of Fitzroy Crossing. It plays host to a variety of meetings, events, programs and even a Federal Court Hearing for Indigenous Australian’s Stolen Wages. The school holiday program run by the Shire of Derby / West-Kimberly and MWW is also based at Karrayili. The Community Resource Centre operates out of this and has been open Monday-Friday to allow the community to access a wide range of computer, printing and video conferencing assistance. The CRC has 5 computers available for internet access, free of charge, and access to government sites and information, as well as assistance in contacting any required government services.
MWW’s Financial Counselling Program also operates out of Karrayili, joining Nirrumbuk Aboriginal Organisation’s Thrive Program, Gooniyandi Rangers and Bunuba Rangers allowing community members to seek assistance and services more efficiently.
Karrayili continues to be an important asset to the community offering various types of supports and services for all ages.
